Default Nene & Trent

Forecast for our area (NN10) was 'light rain' today.

I had to go up to Nottingham this morning, and I have never seen such quantities
of water coming down in the UK. The Trent just past J24 was very high and this
lot won't help.

The Nene at Irthlingborough looked almost normal on the way back, no obvious
signs of distress.

The Nene here (Ringstead Lower) is normal for this kind of weather. Up about
a foot from mean summer, leaving a few impassable bridges and guillotines,
but apart from that, fine.

If you get stuck around these parts, call in for a cup of
tea/wifebeater/Gin.
