I know the subject of cooking has been discussed many times on here before ,
whilst googling back the choice of gas cookers appears to be very limited indeed . I would idealy like to buy a oven/hob combined with ffd`s of course .. Is there a wider choice available now from the domestic market ? thanks in anticipation Paul NB Bertie |

I have used a Moffat from Whilton Chandlery -
http://www.whiltonmarina.co.uk/ - about £325. No ignition but a good basic cooker with ffd. Dont go near any chandlers, and dont buy anything made for boats, just
go to the high street, B&Q, or screwfix, and you will find most units take a propane conversion kit, which they will happily supply. Then send midland swindlers a picture, and give them the finger ! paul wrote: > I know the subject of cooking has been discussed many times on here before , > whilst googling back the choice of gas cookers appears to be very limited > indeed . Not sure about flame failure though - if I was buying a new cooker I would want flame failure on ALL burners, and thats for my and my families protection let alone what teh BSS may have to say on the subject. Also take care in case the selected cooker requires a mains supply. I know our one at home will not work correctly on a honda generator, so I have doubts about cheap inverters. Tony Brooks |
