opened it's doors to new members.

The group meets every first and third Tuesdays of each month, and should
there be a fifth Tuesday it meets then as well, at St Mathews Church Hall on
the north side of Ealing Common, for an evenings entertainment.

It also has regular weekend walks, as well as the occasional hostel weekend.

The current membership is about 70 with a fairly even mix of men and women.

Unfortunately not, I find in some other groups people crosspost to several
unrelated groups, but I don't know if it is possible to stop that on my
machine.

Hello friends

There are a few reasons why your post may not appear in Chatter (or the Updates box which appears on the right side of each page of Shine). The Updates appear when you first post a blog and it appears in the order that everyone has posted. In some cases, when there is high traffic on Shine, the space to display updates is maxed out and some updates may not appear based on the time they were submitted. (They're always shown in chronological order and it may be that the display is now seconds past your post time). In that case, some blogs may not appear in the Updates.
Another possibility is that you've set your preferences in your profile on Yahoo! to not update here (or if you've had an account on Yahoo! for a long time, your preferences may have been automatically set). To check, go to your Yahoo! Profile. To do this, either find the link Profile Settings underneath your status update area or go to
There is a list of Information you can control on Yahoo!, including the last option, My Blog. There are three options of who can see this. If you have chosen Only Me, updates will not be displayed on Shine. Choose either My Connections (for only those people you share information with on Yahoo!) or Anyone for the comments to appear for everyone on Shine.
