Thanks for posting your thoughts and comments, Karl. I've been
wondering just what "Enterprise" hostels are like, and it seems from
your experience they're pretty hit-and-miss quality-wise, maybe in the
same way as "backpackers" places are. Some are great, others poor
quality, but no across the board standards.

It'll be interesting to see what sort of standards are applied to those
hostels recently sold by YHA which are allegedly to be taken over as
"Enterprise" hostels. Unfortunately, I didn't stay in any of them
while they were YHA, so won't be able to do a fair "then and now"
comparison. I expect you did though, so look forward to your future
comments!

As far as your breakfast at Lakeside goes, frankly, I'm surprised you
got anything hot at all. YHA seems to be going down the road of doing
away with cooked brekkie altogether, and replacing it with a cold
help-yourself buffet style.

I did hear a rumour this type of B&B was to become standard practice
and will be included in the price regardless of whether one wants
breakfast or not. Can anyone confirm or deny the rumour?
