I couldn't see the £10 offer but you could try what I did a few years back.
When making a phone booking at a hotel ask the price. When it comes back as
(say) £55, make a comment on the nearby Travelodge having rooms for £26.
Most good hotel chains will drop their prices to match in order to get your
custom and hope you buy meals in their restaurants in return. At the very
least they benefit from word of mouth recommendations from you if they do a
good job.
