Some bands are just not able to play in big open air venues. The Dave
Matthews Band does not fall in that category. The packed Usana Ampitheatre was a testament to the popularity of the group of musicians. The Utah fans were in force Tuesday night as the jazzy tunes rolled through the cool air. Dave Matthews, being his usual humble self, rarely said much to the crowd, but when he sang and strummed his guitar, that was enough to thrill even the youngest of fans. Dueling guitars and violins and drum solos fueled the crowd, as Dave Matthews unmistakable voice echoed off the foothills surrounding the ampitheatre. Playing hits that span their impressive career, this writers favorite songs were played in abundance. The Dave Matthews Band will not be going away soon, but if you missed this concert, be sure to check them out next time they are in town. John Stewart |
