Pilgrimage 2003, Utah's first annual demo party <http://pilgrimage.scene.org>, is looking for a speaker to give a comparison talk about freely available 3D modellers. When: Saturday, August 9th, 2003, in the morning Where: Salt Lake City, Utah Duration: Approximately 45 minutes in length The speaker will be expected to have tried some modelling tasks in at least three of the following modellers: 3D Canvas FW <http://www.amabilis.com> AC3D SW <http://www.ac3d.org/> Amapi 3D v4.15 FW <http://amapi.idevgames.com/> Aztec 3D Tools OS <http://aztec.sourceforge.net/aztec.php> Anim8or FW <http://www.anim8or.com> Blender FW <http://www.blender.org> CharacterFX SW <http://www.insanesoftware.de/CharacterFX/index.htm> CityGen FW <http://members.tripod.com/~dcieslak/util.html> CyberMotion SW <http://www.3d-designer.com/index.html> DoGaL1/2/3 FW <http://www.doga.co.jp/english/index.html> GMax FW <http://www.discreet.com/products/gmax/> Milkshape3D SW <http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/> OpenFX OS <http://www.openfx.org> POV-Ray FW <http://www.povray.org/> Wings3D OS <http://www.wings3d.com/> ZModeler FW <http://zmodeler.nfscheats.com> FW: Freeware. Can be downloaded and used for free, but no source code is provided. SW: Shareware. Can be downloaded for free, but a registration fee is required if you use the software. OS: Open Source. The software can be downloaded for free. Source code is provided. The talk should be approximately 45 minutes in length (including time for questions). The talk should compare and contrast the modellers on the same modelling tasks.
