Default Advice on Business Idea

I have a pretty good business idea for a web/software based business. I
need to find a web/sql developer to help me get this thing started.

I don't want to start announcing to everyone what my idea's are, for fear of
losing the idea to someone else, but I know that I need to give people an
idea of what the business is to determine if they are qualified and
interested.

Can I write up a non-disclosure statement and have potential candidates sign
it?

Startup costs are pretty low for this thing, and me, not being rich, would
like to work out a profit sharing deal rather than salary for the people
involved in helping me start this up. Is this feasible?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

John

Especially considering that you're soliciting the assistance of
strangers and considering non standard compensation agreements, you're
best bet is to seek the advice of an attorney right off the bat.
Unless you're an atty yourself, anything that you write will have a
hard time standing up to the scrutiny of a court proceeding or
arbitration if you have to pursue action against a party who violates
the agreement. I'm new to Utah, so can't reliably recommend someone,
but I do work with web based applications (both technically and
process wise), and would definitely be interested in hearing more
about your idea.

Best of Luck
Mike
