I have just found out that Mr Airkix is fleecing the BPA member to
member insurance for £7.5 million. Is this to pay for the tunnel? It is my opinion that he should be struck off the BPA membership and everyone in the BPA should boycott his tunnel. Is it any wonder that we are paying a fortune every year for insurance when members are abusing our system. The added insurance and member costs every year do not affect the people who already have millions in the bank. As a joint member on a normal working class salary the increase in premiums will make the sport for the elitest only. OBVIOUSLY THIS £7.5 MILLION WILL INCREASE OUR PREMIUMS NEXT YEAR. Why are we paying a man for his own stupidity. I SAY AGAIN STRIKE HIM OFF THE BPA. Regards Paul D. (Concerned BPA Member) |

Hmm...
Did you ever think that he may have a valid claim? Did you ever think that this is what insurance cover is for? Just like if you crash your car while giving me a lift, and I'm injured, I'd claim against your insurance, and we'd probably still be mates. Whatever about the amounts, there is a principle at work here. OK, so the figure seems very high, but I wonder what your source is for the figures. At best it's hearsay, and it sounds like a quote from a dodgy used car dealer - you're probably a sincere, stand-up guy, so do you really believe him? This has already been discussed on UKskydiver.com, so you may get better information there On Apr 11, 10:52 am, "PD" <p...@elmwoods.com> wrote: > I have just found out that Mr Airkix is fleecing the BPA member to > member insurance for £7.5 million. However I would not have put myself in a dangerous position. Insurance is for accidents, this in my opinion was not an accident because he should not have been where he was. With regards to the Used car salesman quote I do not understand what you are talking about. Regards Paul D. |

If you have the facts, do share them, but let us know your source - were you there? What did he did to put himself in a place of danger (e.g was he on the runway? crossing after landing? Some might argue jumping out of a plane puts you in a place of danger). > With regards to the Used car salesman quote I do not understand what > you are talking about. Just saying it's easy to jump to opinions and conclusions after listening to someone spout off in the canteen/hanger/manifest/pub. And some of them have been known to exaggerate, or be economical with the truth. Facts hold more water than hearsay. |

What was the nature of this "accident"? How was he injured? What costs were incurred as a result? Please tell the whole story as you understand it, as some of us haven't yet heard of it. |

Think the payout is £400,000.
Not bad for a claim where the person was responsible for their own accident, but no compensation for the alledged flaccid status he now finds himself in. |
