people to help moderate the site as we hope it will really take off.
It has everything you'd expect plus - no popups, completely free to
use, you can upload your own images and videos and if you have a very
large file we'll give you an unlimited amount of FTP space to upload
to for free and there's more on the way! There are no catches, it'll
always remain free to use. This forum is simply run by skydiving

With all due respect, this seems to be a straight copy of
www.ukskydiver.co.uk. I'm sure they're flattered but they did it first
and they're doing it rather well.

This forum will be much better than ukskydiver.co.uk since it'll have
no adverts, sections for every DZ that wants one, etc, etc...

It's under construction and I need mods, suggestions, etc.

It is under construction at the moment so although there is not much
chat on there I don't think you'll find that on there.

So what, yes I am human but it's UNDER CONSTRUCTION. I am
communicating with potential mods regarding how to proceed in bringing
this forum to life.

I can't understand why you are so bitter about the potential of having
a new forum on the scene.

It has been completely overhauled and is amazing.

You will need to register before you can get into the site but that's
easy enough as long as you have a valid email address.

UKSkydiver is also free. All ads relate to Skydiving and are non
intrusive (no popups). They already have forums for each DZ.

Skydivingmovies does video uploads extremely well, so why and
compete?

What are you actually offering that is new?

Why not log in and take a look rather than assuming from the start
that it won't be better.

Since this forum will be heavily customised and modified the amount of
stuff it will be able to offer is huge.

There's no point in asking why, it's something that interests me and I
know what's missing at the moment.

There is every point in asking why.

I have more than enough internet ids and passwords as it is. I only go
to the effort of creating a new one if I want to join a site. If I have
to do it just to look around I will not bother. Now I could be odd, but
I suspect most people are like that.

Your site might be the greatest thing since sliced bread but, unless you
improve your marketing and tell people why they should go there, it will
be hard to get users.

Hi David

Unfortunately phpBB is designed so that when users register they have
to confirm their registration by clicking on a link that is emailed to
the address you specify.

Until you click on that link your account will remain inactive and
therefore you can not request your password.

If you received no confirmation email then you have either entered
your email address incorrectly or you have a problem receiving emails
(please check your spam folder).

There is no problem with the forum so it must be user error.

This system of registration has been adopted by a lot of forum
programs to try and stop spamming programs from registering.

All you need to do is email admin@love2skydive.co.uk from your
registered email address and someone will activate your account
manually.
