I am running a Camera Coaching / Cameraflying Seminar on Friday the
20th and the Saturday and Sunday the 21st and 22nd. The Friday night will cover the items below and will cover the theory aspect to cameraflying. I will be showing videos and photos to explain and demonstrate elements of the course. The Friday night session will start at approximately 7:30pm and I expect it to run for a couple of hours. I'll use Friday to plan for jumping over the weekend. The course will use the FS skills weekend to provide formations to film and work on cameraflying skills for both FS and Tandem filming. Dives will be planned that will use the skills required to film both FS formations and Tandems. A second camera, possibly made up of those on the course, will film the primary camerperson to allow a debrief afterwards. Overview of the course and introductory briefing to cameraflying Official requirements and recognised experience Introduction to the equipment Safety aspects of cameraflying Introduction to the disciplines and the skills required for each: Fun jumping/video logbook RW filming Tandem filming Additional student filming Still photography Coached videoed jumps: Pre-jump briefing to focus on the specific elements of the discipline In-air footage of the exit and freefall Post-jump debrief with improvement techniques learning points The cost will be £10 plus the cost of any jumps completed. There is no minimum requirements to attend the Friday night course, though attendees must meet the minimum BPA criteria to fly camera over the weekend.
