I was down at Bisley Saturday and Sunday for the 1500 and NSRA pistol
competitions with some friends. Stayed overnight in an excellent 3*
hotel in Crowthorne for all of 24 quid B+B !

Went to Short Siberia (where *does* it get that name from ?) to watch a
friend competiting in the McQueen's sniper comp, which he came 2nd in.
Good fun and he's now trying to sell me his Remington 700 PSS .223
which he used, as he now wants a 6mm/284....

I believe it is because of the fact that the ranges (there
was a Long Siberia too) were at the far Eastern end of the camp,
and accessed by a tramway!

Aha. That makes sense.

Well, that went ok, thank goodness.

Two V-bulls (out of 12 shots) on 300 yds.

Using my shooting bag as a front rest though, got to work on using tw-point
sling.

I was beginning to wonder if I had a problem with the rifle, but I guess the
problem is I need to teach myself all over again, after 5 years of f-class
shooting.

Christ Neil, you really attract the weirdos.
Anyway,If you did buy that .223, where would you use it?
I'd like to try long range shooting, but i dont think there is anywhere
local that allows it.
Kibworth shooting ground used to do 100metres, but they only do 25
metres now, which is not really a challenge as I do air rifle shooting
to 45 mtres/yards every week.

Oh he's been part of my travelling fan club for ages now - he just
can't stay away. He's been killfiled for aeons now and is totally
ignored. He follows me around like a good little lapdog and is so
obedient that I can make him post - he'll follow up to this, just
watch.

> Anyway,If you did buy that .223, where would you use it?

Well, my present club which is very close to me has 25,50 and 100m
ranges but is .22LR / pistol calibres only and therefore it wouldn't be
of use there. We are looking to build a 2 position full-bore range but
that's possibly a year off.

Mark, who owns the .223, is a member of Peak club - they shoot at
Thorpe near Ashbourne and I could join there. That and visits to Bisley
- it's just a damn long way away and expensive.

Like Chris Hill for example.

Hopefully on himself. Though I suspect the real answer is "yes, to shoot
egss".

But... but... Isn't Neil called the Chief Snapper for some regional freebie
rag? That is about as decent a job as (s)he will ever get with her
reputation, oh yes!

(Did you know he was on Jim'll Fix It?)

(Did you also know that due to his gross obesity he managed to get stuck in
a cable car in the U.S.?)

(Did you also also know this was before he met his latest "girlfriend"
called "Emma"? I wonder wot "Emma's" *real* name is? Ernie?)

He's the Chief Lardy Lady of the Bumchum mail.

Jim didn't fix him. Otherwise he'd have fitted staples to the fat
bastards stomach.

Yes, but hilariously the US wouldn't give him a visa cos they have met
their quota of obese gun toting weirdos, apparently.

LAFF! Yes, better mention her name otherwise we might think she doesn't
exist, much like Tash. They were probably both bought from the same
rubber girlfriend emporium.

The art of a successful photograph lies in the power it has to evoke a mood, connection or reaction. Many of the photographic greats attribute this to the ordinary. David Bailey says "it takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer, because it takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the ordinary."Any professional cites composition, light, creativity and knowing your subject as the fundamental photographic principles. But do they translate when you're using a compact camera that also happens to be a phone?

Have a great day
