Default Imperial or metric??

Hi,
I have been looking around to get an additional dive computer and I
have been seeing quite a lot of such items on sale on ebay.co.uk. Now,
perhaps this is an extremely silly question, but what unit system is
used on computers sold in the UK and Irland? Metric or Imperial?
Meters, atm and °C or feet, psi and °F ? I know how to convert, but my
references are all in metric, and conversion ability does not improve
going from 0 to -140 feet:-))
Sincerely
Max

That's sort of reassuring that you are not so close to your "cousins"
as far as scuba instruments are concerned:-) I got troubled about the
issue, when I saw on an old ebay site that the sellers was describing
the item using first psi and then bars... He never replied to my
email, sic...

Many / most computers let you choose. Lie that they only need make one type
which they can sell to the whole world. You set it up the way you prefer.

Unless you're planning on selling your equipment soon, I'd think that what
you are most familiar with would be best for you. In this context, metric is
certainly easier to use than imperial, particularly since there's a pretty
close relationship between one BAR and 10 meters.

All these archaic units like Bar. Surely it's time we changed to
MegaPascals ?
