Well now all booked up to go diving in Cyprus with Cydive in June.
Have booked the flights and the diving, just now need to find some where to stay while we are out there. Cydive are offering a 'deal' with the Paphian Sun holiday park. Has anybody stayed there? and what did you think? Many thanks Ian |

Stayed there 2 years ago on an all-inclusive. The food was good but simple,
nothing spectacular. It has the disadvantage of being between Paphos and Coral bay so its bus or car to go anywhere. No beach but the snorkelling is OK off the rocks. Rooms were fine but they charge you for the remote control for the air conditioning, unless like me you stand on a chair, lift the front of the air conditioning panel and press the manual start button. Great entertainment for the kids but noisy round the bar / dining area if you don't have any. Thinking about it, I would say if you don't plan on hiring a car then stay in Paphos. If you do hire a care use Hertz, I was involved in a crash with a "Russian" local and wrote off my 3 week old hire car. Hertz had me back on the road in another car 1 hour after the police had finished with me and were starting on the local who's fault it was. I dived with Cydive (very good) but was disappointed at the lack of fish life in the Paphos area, if you are experienced enough then the day trip 2 dives on the Zenobia is a must. One of my best dives in 26 years.
