Winner in Denmark are the largest builder - see
http://www.winneroptimist.dk/teksteruk/infoeuropeu.htm
There are others.

Europes are lovely boats but not especially easy to sail. I don't mean to be
rude but if you don't
know enough about the class to know who the builders are, I would talk to a
few people
familiar with the class before rushing to buy one.

I suppose I was a lot younger when I sailed one but it was my first
sinle hander and I didn't find it difficult.

Agreed that there are harder single-handers to sail e.g. Internationl
Canoe, International Moth.

However, my point is that it is not a beginner's boat like a Topper, and
the original poster sounds like he does not know that much about
dinghies - at least that was my impression.

I've just loaned mine to a friend who has done a fair amount of dinghy
sailing, and she is finding there is quite a learning curve (especially
getting under that low boom).

I think he had difficulty locating a builder. Other than Winner
google produced nothing, except a lot of broken links, which included
those of the Italian Europa Association
