It is not at all surprising to hear that Wilma has not heard of things , or
people. I am a little surprised, however, that Wilma is so proud of his
ignorance that he chooses to tell the world of it.

An interesting obituary. I presume he killed himself?

I assume he died in Konstanz?

"Law was found dead at Lake Constance in Germany" - not giving a cause
is often a tactful journalese for suicide.

It said "died suddenly" in one report - a car accident maybe?

That's what I read too, but people aren't found dead at Lake Constance in
Germany, people are found dead in the Bodensee/ Lake Constance.

AFAICS There is no mention of him in the local newspaper.

This is all a bit macabre (I know, I started it) but one could be
discovered on the shore, in which case "Found dead at Lake
Constance(*)/Loch Lomond/Buttermere" would be a reasonable way of
putting it.

Ian

* One report said "Found dead at Lake Konstanz, which of coure doesn't
exist - perhaps a mishearing, and he was found dead at Konstanz? I
still reckon they are skirting round Selbstmord...

Hey, the guy was just a big dog in a small kennel. Here, on the left
side of the Pond, we have real heroes. You can't blame us if your local
heroes pale in comparison to ours.

He was 55, and had a high stress character. I'd go for heart - but
we're guessing. I dare say it'll come out in the end.

I've never heard of him but if he can cheerfully drag a Finn up a
slipway I'd say his heart was in first class shape.
