Missed the 2000 gns as it was on the day I went on holiday around the Med on a monster of a ship. Just back and pleased to see that the tip, Yellowstone, ran well enough in that race and over 10F subsequently in Ireland, to attract some Derby betting interest. Seems from posts that some have taken their profit. I took prices for bits and pieces from 200-1 to 350-1 so have plenty to play with. Will dump most of it if possible, but keep a few quid, just in case. Seems the stable were correct about the distance this one probably needs, but the Epsom 12F is a big ask. Les |

Waistline suitably expanded? I'm off tomorrow for a five day break ... to Norfolk! Not quite the same, is it. Still, the local gene pool needs expanding. I shall do my best. <g> |

Last time I saw Max was at the Chelsea Palace in the late 50's before ITV took it over to be a TV studio. Also on the bill was the crooner Denny Dennis..... probably Britain's best ever but at that time down on his luck Derek. I was walking along this narrow mountain pass - so narrow that nobody else could pass you, when I saw a beautiful blonde walking towards me. A beautiful blonde with not a stitch on, yes, not a stitch on, lady. Cor blimey, I didn't know whether to toss myself off or block her passage. 'You can't help liking him, can you? Miller's the name, Lady, there'll never be another, will there? - They just don't make 'em any more, Ducks. Good job I was a boy. If I'd turned out a girl, I really would have been in trouble. No! Listen. He's gone. Here's one...' |
