Not at all well this morn...the RWhites was off :-(
Lots of racing to peruse thsi Saturday,in truth its more quantity over quality. Hatdock 1.35 I`ll go along with ABRAGANTE and the Pipe jnr and Murphy combo, won with any amount at Cheltenham and there sure to be more to come.Dropping back a furlong shouldn`t be a problem. The consistent but rarely winning IRISH WOLF is one to bear in min d for ew boys, may well stay for this distance. Haydock 2.00 Won with any amount in hand at Ayr beating the bottle job OONINPOHJA,and EMMPAT can follow uo here for Charlie Swan.Down the bottom of the h`cap the 5-y-0s WISE OWL and GRINGO can make the mostof the weight they haven`t got imo LESLINTAYLOR has 15 Ls to find on EMMPPAT,but may be better suited here than Fairyhouse. Ascot 2.20 VICTORIA CUP Another nightmare? 29 runners over 7f ? musdt be mad to even contempolate a pop at finding this winner lol TRIMLESTOWN from Henry Candys honest yard is the most consistent of animals as his runs last season showed.I have always thought a race such as this would be ideaal down there at 7-13 he must be there abouts, subject to the effect of the draw(4) On the other side of the draw EISTEDDFOD looks to be a decent enough sort to aim at this, again the draw may be the most influential factor (23) Lingfield 3.15 The resurgence of the great Henry Cecil continues and he may well win this Derby trial with MANY VOLUMES who beat CEDAR MOUNTAIN easily over 1m 2f on his reappearence. now.more Alki Seltxers and back to zzzzzzzzz -- David "That Damn Butterfly" |

I've nailed it down to a few I hope, largely concentrating on in-form trainers... CAPABLE GUEST - drawn 8, Channon is in form with 23 horses in the frame in the last few weeks with 12 of those landing a win. The drop back to 7f is hardly ideal but with a bit of juice in the ground I would think it would be ok. BEAVER PATROL - drawn 16, Another last time out winner who looks a bit stronger this year and may just find the step up to 7f within his grasp. He wasn't stopping last time at Newmarket and the price is right. ZOMERLUST - drawn 29, Highest draw of all and despite being out of form and probably ideally suited to 6f, he will handle the ground and has dropped to a fair mark. Was only beaten around 5 lengths in this last year and is a few pounds lower with 'possibly' the plum draw thus year. ORDNANCE ROW - drawn 11, Hannon has to be respected in these races and this one looks interesting. Holds a listed entry and will act with juice in the ground. Can see this one going very close. COUER COURAGEUX - drawn 7, This is my dark horse. Originally though of as a Group class and raced in the French 2000 Guineas as a 3yo ! Hasn't done too much since but I think he will really love this trip and ground and after starting life really high in the handicap, could now be ready to do his stuff. My best bet today though is Roger Charlton's THIRD SET in the 3:30 at Ascot as I think he is overpriced and with the trainer in form I think this one has a bit more improvement to come. GL all |
