Default monday blues

If anyone thought yesterdays cards were poor, have a look at this lot today,5
meets in the uk and imho nothing to get the old form study juices
going..except maybe :-)
Yes Count von Derek is raiding again, this time at Towcester..with 3.10 ALLEZ
FRANK making his debut, has the err "luckless" ZILCASH to beat.
In the 4.40 Novices Chase he puts up KOVA HALL against some well exposed
types, somehow he has convinced my neighbours boy to ride him,at least we
know Jamie is in form ;-)

any other cviews on todays fare?

Indeed. It's said that 'it's grim up North.' Well, it's far more
grim on any racetrack on a Monday.

KADIA (5.55 Southwell) is reasonably treated here, showing no aptitude
in a bumper, but an acceptable turn of foot in flat sprints. His win
in mediocre company last time is not breathtaking, but off this mark
offers a bit of value against opposition with indifferent recent form.

On the face of it, SHAWHILL (6.10 Windsor) has a bit to find off this
mark in his first handicap, but he's improved in each of his four
starts to date and I see no reason why he shouldn't do here as well in
what is another bland handicap for a Monday. If Miss Saafend Plaza
was a few pounds lighter, I'd be very optimistic about this one too,
with a win seemingly on the cards this year for this consistent sort,
but it probably won't be today. The aforementioned is on the up and
if his price holds firm offers real value.

But BOY is this a grim day!!

At the hands of an appalling piece of riding. Never saw any daylight
until it was far too late.

Stayed on gamely and seems to lack a gear. Winner Highland Legacy
definitely benefited from being treated to the Jamie Spencer
Experience!

Five year Jump stats from the RP site: 11 wins from 74 runners for a £6.90
profit to a one pound stake. He spreads his net wide from Kelso to the West
Country.
