Well I'm off to Hamilton Friday night to watch their Derby
trial...lol. Serengeti looks the obvious one for that race but think Boscobel might have his measure although it could be a coin toss. One thing for tomorrow that is worth noting is that prominant racers fare well at this track as does Mark Johnston. The following are on my shortlist for the 'Braveheart' evening, really like the look of Aahayson in the 7:00 and Racoon in the last, also interesting to see Acropolis amongst the entries, 12 furlongs and softish ground could well suit him but last year's winner Akarem may have his measure. Apache Dawn has strong claims and a decent draw in the 8:00. It's raining a fair bit in Glasgow and suspect that the going may be good (gts in places) by tomorrow evening if it keeps up. If anyone fancies anything else strongly then I'd like to hear your views. Hamilton 6:30 LATIN CLASS Hamilton 7:00 AAHAYSON (NAP) Hamilton 7:30 BOSCOBEL - SERENGETI Hamilton 8:00 APACHE DAWN - MOONHAWK Hamilton 8:35 AKAREM - ACROPOLIS Hamilton 9:10 RACCOON |

If I were then a tentative five shillings on the horse and the rest of the funds towards the barmaid. I don't like the weight on Aahayson (7.00); I would rather go for FLORES SEA in this horrible little handicap. The 7.30 I don't like the look of at all. And this ludicrously named race after the Welsh bloke (the 8.35) is a tight handicap where I wouldn't like to get involved. There's no real value in this race anywhere and if I were given a free betting voucher then it would have to be spent on SCRIPTWRITER but only if someone else were paying. I don't like the 9.10 at all; again if there were free bets flying around then I would have a shortlist of HOTHAM, THROW THE DICE and the nicely priced STRAWBERRY PATCH. In summary; from a punting point of view there's nothing wonderful that I can see at Hamilton but for an evening out I do hope that you enjoy yourself. - Malc |

Just a weather update, we've got Hurricane Senga rattling through here,
alternating between horizontal rain and sunny spells. Would imagine it will have an impact on the going tonight if it keeps up. T |
