Well he was nothing if not impressive,if you have backed him for the Derby

I personally don't think the overall form of the race was up to much but there was no doubting the style of his victory and he is a worthy favourite now. However, it is worth pointing out that Aqaleem finished ahead of him last season and was equally impressive in the Lingfield Derby trial. I can't see how Tregoning can not run him in the Derby now after today and I personally think he would represent the better value, at least as an each-way bet. I'm feeling less confident about having decent odds on Soldier Of Fortune and Archipenko but at least they have already made the race profitable for me and you never know. I do feel inclined to think alternatively to the masses today and add Aqaleem to my Derby portfolio having missed the decent odds about Authorized. |
