Anyone know exactly what the damage was on Alonso's car?
For just belly pan damage it sure slowed him down a lot. Slatts |

I didn't know that, then the only explanation for his erratic race is that he was psychologically destabilised by LH. Unless he uses his experience to pull himself together, then LH really is in with a chance of the championship. <shakes head in disbelief> Madness Daytona |

Something must of been up with his car(?) Or do you reckon he just gave up - bit un-Wold Champion that! Slatts |

He'd already done the fastest lap on lap 43. 1.16.395. Lap 5 was Hamiltons best lap at 1.16.939. I'm sure the pass on Alonso by T. Sato has ruffled Alonso's feathers as well
as raised a few questions in the McClaren pits. I just can't imagine that Sato could do that to Alonso without some kind of mechanical problem. Great race though! |

Alonso was driving on the soft tires (Sato on the hard tires) and with his style of driving on a circuit that he doesn't like at all it could be that those tires weren't in a very good shape at that moment.. -- |\ | | \|ico Panic now and avoid the rush! |

The Ferraris came close to taking eachother out, too. Given the potential for having a race without the top four cars, LH did well to get through to the end, let alone win. -- Regards, Dave email: dave_ryman@hotmailNOSPAM.com My Homepage: http://homepages.tesco.net/david.ryman/ The F1 travel guide: http://www.zdp06.ukgateway.net/f1_travel.htm |
