But it was a *shocking* shot to play when we need a Thorpe style rebuilding of the innings as Flintoff realised and played as such. What is annoying is that he is capable of it since he did exactly that in the first 3 innings of the series. -- ButIstillneedtoknowwhat'sinthere! Thekeytoanysecurity systemishowit'sdesigned! Wonder if that is reflected in his (so far this series) generally poor catching/fielding? Too early to tell, but maybe he should only play in the ODI side for another season or two. RH I agree.........he needs less time faffing with that ridiculous hair and more time spent in the nets. Prima Donna. |

RH He's definitely the weakest player over the Test series. Poor batting and pathetic fielding. Thorpe would have been the better choice for this series. I do think KP should be given his chance again in Test cricket though. |

Yes but KP was out shopping on camera (icc cricket world ?) with Nasser Hussain after only a couple of ODI matches. When England where in a happy mad pile up after their 2 run win, KP was waving at the crowd. It must be hard for him all the same, things being how they are.....perhaps a nice winter tour will wise him up a bit. max.it |

As I write, he's on 76 and nigh on 400 runs for the series and even if he gets out now will have the best avg for Eng this series. Retain Bell for a while longer but show G Jones and Giles the door. Since he's done what so many coaches over the past 20 yrs couldn't, there isn't a reason for Fletcher to be fired either. Ramapriya ayirpamar@gmail.com |

Would be nice if he could make his maiden century with everyone else falling cheaply. "The Pieterson Test". We could then gently rib RH for the rest of eternity about how the Ashes were won by a team where the bowling averages were topped by a Welshman & the batting by a SA born & raised Boer. I'm smiling already. |
