There is that which feeds on the energies dissipated on the way to lower
potential, and there is that which feeds on the energies accrued on the way
to higher potential.

Death is cause by too much stress. A rabbit may not be able to outrun a
wolf, gets caught and killed. The chase was too much stress for the rabbit,
and cost the rabbit its life.

enjoyed freedom from most predators and became unattentive. Then a pack of
wolves moved in and ate all the rabbits. The lack of stressful predators
made the rabbits unattentive, and cost the rabbits their lives.

of pH 7.
