Default Opinions, Anyone?

I've been working hard with biofeedback to get some conscious control
over my gift of telekinesis, then one
night I saw on the TV a demonstration where a man could produce over
200 degrees F of heat from his hands after studying the Oriental study
of Qigong.

Has anyone here has used a martial art or some form of meditation to
develop their "chi?" And is chi and psi
the same thing, or two different things that act the same
way? One particular aspect of Qigong is to develop "spiritual"
abilities which seem a lot like psi abilities; at least many of
the physical psi abilities and even some like clairsentience for
reading auras and the like.

Yes, I have. I've devoted the last twenty years to integrating Eastern
meditation techniques with the Western practices of weight training
and aerobics (running and cross-country skiing).

And is chi and psi

They are two *very* different energy states. Chi is equivalent to
'nephesh' or the breath of life. It is a greyish-blue energy field
interpenetrating the physical body; and is easily perceived. So much
so, that many neophytes believe that they have experienced GOD when
they see it. Sorry, kids, but GOD takes more work than that!

Psi is the next level up, a purely mental emanation. You take your psi
development with you when you die; your chi dissipates.

Clairsentience and reading auras aren't actually spiritual per se,
they are the result of opening the fifth and sixth energy centers. A
person can have a closed heart, but an open sixth center, and read
auras, but not be particularly spiritual. Thus arises black magic.

Hope that helps...

I once took a class in Tai Chi. I guess the experts can throw an
opponent off their feet without touching them, just by throwing out
energy. I developed my own Tai Chi movements tailored to my own ideas.

As a young man , I would invariably end up in bad situations after a night
on the town, with some ugly ape pressing his face into mine for some reason
or other, (spilt his drink, looked at his girlfriend, whatever) and I found
that when someone is squaring up to you in the face, toe to toe, the easiest
way to put them on the ground was to suddenly shout, "WAAARRGGHH!!!!!!!"
right in their face, as loud as you could manage.
As they were so tensed, they usually ended up falling on their arse without
even touching them.
This has nothing to do with Chi or "throwing out energy" and everything to
do with adrenaline, muscle tension, fear, balance and suggestibility or
expectation.
It's also one of the reasons I fail to be impressed by claims made by
"Yellow Bamboo Practitioners" or non contact Chi moves.

Dear Ron Hubbard
I learned Wing Chun Kung Fu and developed
rapidly after that my Medium and Clairvoyance accuracy and fine tuned it
even with the use of psychometry.
