I just stopped by here for the first time, having had numerous paranormal
experiences all my life, and having known many people who have had them also. I thought a newsgroup called "psychic" would share information and support for people who have had such experiences, but it seems, from what posts I've read, that this group is primarily for the debunking of psychic experiences. Is this true? |

Jeanette,
Hello and welcome ![]() No..this group's *primary* effort shouldn't be debunking...My experience has been that most of us here, believe. I don't know why there are so many antagonizers, here, excepting that there are antagnoziers, pretty much everywhere in the world. I love being able to post questions and reading posts from like-minded people...I don't even mind discussing the NON possibility that any of this exists, but most skeptics are so mean-spirited, that it's not a fun debate, it's just - well, ugly - in *my* mind... So, please, what's on *your* mind? ![]() Ginae! ============================================= http://www.theinternetcompanion.net |

Not at all, check the posts again and you'll see that it's just two clowns trying to have some fun at the group's expense, this ng normally fulfills exactly what you were looking for, so jump in and as with any other ng ignore whatever you don't like. It's been a bit quiet lately so newcomers are most welcome ![]() |

I should have thought that this group might have attracted far more ordinary, ie non-psychic, people who are merely curious about the paranormal. I should also have expected it to attract far more sceptics than it actually does. Sadly, as you fear and Ginae confirms, the presense of mild scepticism tends to inhibit some posters from talking about their experiences. I do hope you are blessed with a generous helping of gastro fortitude and a fruitful keyboard. -- altheim |
