Hello,
Just came across this group, not sure why I'm really here, maybe some answers. For many years I used to have dreams (mostly about family/relatives) in which months or even years later, the events I dreamt about came true. Is this quite common. Linda |

Considering how many times we dream each night, through sheer coincidence alone, one or two of them should have some sort of relevance to future events. It depends how loosely you qualify that coincidence. About twenty years ago, I had an extremely vivid dream that my father had died. This dream felt so real, I had to restrain myself from calling him up at three in the morning to check if he was o.k. Fortunately, he was o.k., and still is to this day. Can you imagine, though, if by sheer coincidence, something had happened to him that particular night, whether it was a heart attack, fire, car accident, any different number of things, how convinced do you think I would be about the ability to foretell the unknown from your dreams if that had happened? That's how predictions work. It's fairly simple. The 'hits' are remembered and made significant. The misses are forgotten. Our imagination fills in the gaps. |

Yeh imagination is the key, tends to runaway with itself sometimes, but most dreams in which have been about my family or other relatives have been to do with the death of that particular family member, ie: age they were when they died or how they died, which did infact happen, not quite the precise day or time or anything like that but a age or how it happened, I've only had one dream about a relative who died but so far has not come true. I did think of telling a relative who I dreamt about dying, telling that relative about it, that relative did later die, however when pondering whether to say anything or not, I had a "only what I term a vision in a dream" of a person, I think male person, who told me that "I must not under any circumstances tell the person I had been dreaming about what I had seen, fate had already been decided and that I must not interfere with fate", if I told that person or any person what I had dreamt about to them, this "person in my vision/dream" told me I would die, it was forbidden for me to speak about what I had seen, I would be interfering with Fate and I was told not to do that. At the time this male person, I could not really see him, but knew he was there, did frighten me a bit. Linda |

The dreams where I dreamt that a member of my family died, did not worry me, I know it was meant to be, when I was 13 years old, there was an immense amount of activity around me, so much so that it began to frighten me, I was seeing ghosts/spirits, seeing things move by themselves, hearing knocking and tapping, I told a friend who was a Catholic, I'm not religious at all, and she gave me a Cross to wear, wearing that cross everything began to quieten down, I only wore it for a few months, it did help infact. Thank you for your insight, I still do not know if I'm clairvoyant/psychic or what, a part of me doubts whether I believe it or not. Linda |

People think like this because it makes them feel better. It doesn't have to be real. In fact, it's better if it is a complete fantasy. Then there's nothing, for people who actually think, to "disprove", you see. So the ignorant and intellectually lazy can make their drab and ultimately meaningless lives "seem" important, with no real thinking required. It's a cheap high. That's all. |

Actually, I am, really. Heres my advice. If you are thinking of attending some type of event soon, maybe a racing event or something similar, be careful of where you sit. Don't sit any where near the track, OK? Hope this helps you. |
