I'm getting on ok with my SN6-EC !
Although the OTA had to be exchanged due to some marks on the corrector
plate, the mount is stable and smooth in operation.

It is NOT a portable scope however, I'm lucky in that it's only a few steps
out of the door to nice dark (err) darkness.

I have had some great views of Jupiter, The Moon and a brief glimpse of M31.
Just got my 'Special Offer' Eyepieces the other day and looking forward to
trying them out...

Good to hear you are having a good time - but judging by all the internet
chatter, some others have not been so fortunate with the mount. The optics
on the other hand seem to getting a lot of praise.

Y, It's strange how no matter how much research you do before a major
purchase, the worst reports start to make themselves known after the card
number wings it's way down the lines!

From what I read, the SN10 and AR6 seem to over laden the mount, I imagine
any small problems in loose gears or dodgy motors start to become magnified
very quickly.

To the delight of my G/F, I spent many hours inspecting and adjusting and
balancing before the first few nights viewing. Is it possible that some of
the problems the other LXD55 users have had are 'user error' ? Just a
thought.
