i am looking at using a quickcam pro 3000 for astronomy purposes.
It has been modded and is air cooled, and is capable of long exposures! Are they any good to use with my etx 70at (i know its limited!!!). Is it any better than using a modded toucam or a modded toucam2 camera from www.perseu.pt? Stuart |

I believe the general opinion on QCUIAG is the Toucam is the best and the one to go for in the UK. If you are looking at Perseu, consider the B&W HS2 - based on Steve Chambers SC3 B&W chip mod. A very nice sensitive low noise B&W camera. I remember seeing a while back some nice images taken by Steve Chambers using an ETX70 and an SC3. Sensitivity is going to be important with your ETX70 as it will not track accurately enough for more than a few seconds exposure.
