To arrive at this conclusion, one must accept the premise that the terms of
the amendment would bar unions, when all it really bars is the benefits of
marriage to particular unions. There is no barring of unions themselves,
only the barring of marriage.

Again, to say otherwise is a deception. To say otherwise is to suggest that
people are all idiots and do not know what they are voting about. If there
is no trust that voters know what they are voting about, why do we go to so
much effort to let them vote?
