Default 2 speed - change up

Hi,

New to this r/c petrol car lark.
Got an Acme Condor Pro for xmas. Its a 2 speed thing. However, when it
changes up to second (when its going fast, or most often, when i try it
on grass - presumably cos its bumpy so it leaves the ground and the
revs go up) it just revs. I have to come to a stop - i guess so it
re-engages first) before I can go again.

Ive read about changing a shift screw position if it doesnt change into
2nd, but dont know if that is something different, as in, it doesnt
even try to change into second, which is not my problem.

And anyway, Ive no idea which is the screw to do this anyway. There are
2 on the gearbox that I can see - one through a hole in the second gear
cog, and one on a small disk in front of the second gear cog.
Instructions dont give much away.

Any help much appreciated.

They don't seem to mind x-posting either.
