Default OT:- What a prat (ebay)

Nothing to do with engineering or models, but I spotted an ebay item
which was just what I've been looking for for a while.
Looked at the seller's past sales, it seems likely he's sold stuff
early before so I asked if he had a 'buy it now' price. Not something
I've ever done before, & not really keen on it.
Instant response, "Make me an offer".
So I did, not my top price but not far off it. Certainly not an
insulting offer, in my book, though I've no idea what the 'market
value' might be.
Response 10 minutes later:-
"That does not even cover the cost of the new parts. do not contact
me again. if you bid on the auction, your bids will be removed."

I'll chuckle to myself if he doesn't get what I was willing to pay.

The auction has just ended early
'because of a mistake in the listing'

Oh yeah, some of his previous auctions did the same, he seems to make
lots of mistakes with his listings <g>

Bidding was standing at half my max when it ended.
I'll hazard a guess that he's sold it for more than I was willing to
pay, but he's still a prat.
