Lovely sunny day, so went to the beach with the kids....
Finished doing obligatory arcades etc and then headed to the beach for a spot of R & R. Never detected in as much rain in a T shirt before, but after half hour, had found 2p and a few odd lumps of dross. Well worth a soaking obviously. Jim |

I need a new spine ! First hit and I tried to bend down (via the knees) to dig it. I nearly jumped 50 foot into the air (only slightly exaggerated) with the ensuing pain that it caused. Still 2p is 2p. Jim :-) |

Jim, I detected in driving snow on the beach last Christmas, it was a 2hr
early morning start to get there, a £1.50 fee over a toll bridge, 3 hours detecting, another £1.50 and 2 hours later on the way back and im soaked, I count my coinage for the day; 27p. I swore that day not to go beach detecting again. Ive been four times since.
