Id be chuffed to bits with an 1846 penny. I found my first Queen Victoria
coin on Sunday. Its strange because I found coins from 1897 (the vic), right through to the 1930's then 60's then 1980's all in a small patch of woodland, no larger than a big garden. 8 pre-dec coins total plus 4 modern. Also got the end of a dart (the bomb?), a badge "AU" either torn from the bonnet of an Austin or an Audi, a live shotgun round and the obligatory egg custard foil. An excellent couple of hours if i do say so myself, makes up for those times when ive come away swearing not to search again.
