Hi David,
Like you, I had a C-Scope 950 (?) until a few years ago and it "used to be"
a high grade machine, but today's motion detectors leave the oldies standing
I'm afraid.
The C-Scope will still find the goodies obviously, but not as easily or
decisively as the modern kit.
If you want to stay in the hobby long term, I'd strongly advise trading up.
I currently use the Whites XLT and it's very good. There are still better
machines, the Minelabs are a cut above the rest, but their price reflects
this...

That crossed my mind Theo, but I think that Mr Batty is spelt differently..
Who knows though, you could be right !
