I'm with Gerry on this one !
The balance was just too far off centre towards value being the MOST IMPORTANT factor. My concern is that if every field could contain £35,000 worth of gold, we'll see a massive hike in nighthawkers. Farmers will be inundated with "Can I dig holes in your field and make you rich" callers... I'm just shocked that there were no adverts for detector manufacturers thrown into the commercial breaks. They could make a real killing on this series... I hope the rest of the series calms this issue a lot, but from what I know of programme schedules, they usually mix the takes and cuts about, so I doubt that was the first filmed. |
