Silver Date-- 1729 ?ecu of Louis XV Can't remember how it lay in the ground but while the head is worn and the only real text is L----------G-------NAV REX the reverse is much more clear {why?}-- nothing like as worn with SIT NOMEN DOMINE BENEDICTUM B 1729 [CROWN, FLEURS DE LYS] lady whose garden it was in was happy for me to take it away... but can anyone point me to A a reliable description that I can copy for her B a reliable price guide/indicator so that any value can be split 50:50 Merci |

Turns out that it is aDEMI ECU
32mm in diameter weighing 14+ gr and the missing bits are LVD=LOUIS DG= BY THE GRACE OF GOD FR= FRANCE ET=AND NAV= NAVARRE REX=KING Thanks for all your useful comments!! |
