Hi
I am new to metal detecting and am using an Explorer XS.

What I find is sometimes I get a signal, sometimes it is difficult to pin
point.
I put the XS off and start to dig then when I switch back on again there
is no signal.
However if I detect and come back after a short while I sometimes get a
signal again.
This has caused a lot of frustration and large holes.
