Default Detecting on the Thames foreshore

After sometime detecting on farmland I am thinking about giving the Thames
foreshore a go. I wondered if anybody could answer the following?

1. What does it cost for a license?

2. Are there many places to go in west London?

3. Is it worth it or is there just too much trash?

I have a DFX

TIA
