Please pretty please could some esteemed gentleman (or lady) give me advise
on what detectors to purchase or what to stay away from. My use would be
part land part beach detection and the price range up to app. 400 pounds

best regards
Henry

Hi Henry,
There is no perfect machine that will suit all folks
perfectly, it's a bit of trial and error.
The best advice any of us could really give is to pop into a detector shop,
and try a few out. Most shops will be happy to let you try each machine you
like before parting with cash !
Brands to look at might include Whites, Minelab, Tesoro and a few others but
all will have something in your budget.
If you let us know roughly where you are, we'll try to point you in the
right direction...

Kind regards

Hi Jim
Thanks for the speedy reply , im in South Africa which unfortunately does
not have any shops that sell metal detectors (that we know of any way ) so
we have been looking on the internet and have found Kelly co and one in the
uk that advertise on the net
So unfortunately we have to rely on importing one from possibly one of the
places mentioned above

best regards
Henry

Ive heard mixed feelings about kelly co. Im sure many of the UK suppliers
would ship abroad, just be ready to pay a fair amount in postage.

If youre strong armed id look into the Minelab Sovereign which you would
easily get for £250, if not id swing towards Tesoro or a lazer rapier.
Happy Hunting
Lee
