Default Zetagi Transmatch TM 1000

Hi
I have been given one of the above but I cannot operate it ( I can operate a
std meter)
I would be very pleased if anyone could please advise how to use it as 1 - a
swr meter and also how to use it as 2 - a matcher

TIA

Eugene

The matcher goes between your radio and your antenna. If you are using a
linear or external SWR meter, the matcher is the last piece of equipment
that goes before the antenna.

Tcvr - Amp - SWR - Matcher or ATU - Antenna

The swr needs to be set on forward and then you key the mic. Adjust the
control knob to send the needle to the set position. Then switch it to REF
then this will give you your SWR.

Using the matcher or ATU, all you need to do is adjust the knob or knobs to
lower the SWR reading. The thing to remember is that all the Matcher or ATU
is doing is fooling your Tcvr into seeing a 50 Ohm load.

Would I be right in assuming you've never actually seen a Zetagi Transmatch
TM 1000?

If you had you would know that the process you described is totally useless!

You're right Iv never seen or used a Zetagi Transmatch. The process I have
"described" is one that I use with an ATU. How much difference can there
be?

i had one a few years ago,
but i cannot remember the knobs on it,
i think there are two knobs, but i get the feeling there is one that is switchable as well.
to get the swr reading you turn one knob untill the needle on the meter for that knob reaches near the end of the scale then your swr reading is read from the other meter.

can you get a picture of the TM 1000, and let me know what knob is for what. (i need my memory jogging)

But if you goto http://www.zetagi.it leave them a message on their site,
they will forward you a Pdf manual FOC, got one for a friend's amp and Psu
last week, they are very quick to reply, about 2 days normally. Even if it
has been out of production for a while.

Whooops, Sorry wrong URL, went on that site first. my mistake.

This the email for Zetagi for Pdf news sheets etc. - info@zetagi.org

Apologies to all.

Mick.

One last thing, I purchased a Bremi 1Kw linear from a boot sale over the
weekend, do Bremi still exist, or have they been taken over by Zetagi? I
need to get a manual for that, I have not fired it up yet, need to get some
info, it weighs a ton.

Mick.
