Bands: EU: 26.965 to 27.405 MHz. UK: 27.60125 to 27.99125 MHz. Dual band sets are allowed, as long as they are made that way. No converting single band CBs. Modulation: FM only. Power: 4 Watts. Licence: No longer required from 8 December 2006. As someone already said, CB is quiet in some areas - so it may be wise to check before spending too much. Avoid eBay, equipment sells for far more than it is worth on there. There are a few Web sites that have information available. This one is the best... http://www.citizensband.radiouk.com/ (I may be a little biased, as it's my site) But, if you want the second best, you could try this site... http://www.open-channel.co.uk/ I am sure that some of the others on the group could point you to other useful CB Web sites that are nearly as good :~) Regards, Peter. http://www.citizensband.radiouk.com/ |
