Nothing wrong with free hosting, CBdomain.com used to be on geocities b4 i
built my own servers and hosted it myself all takes time. and at lecet he is
having a go, CB needs more doers than thinkers.

Absolutely, but that does not mean he has to accept "free" in the
domain name. Hosts who do that are simply using the name
for self-promotion, at the cost of your credibility.

There are many free site hosts, without the cost of a domain. It's
not like the site is a matter of life and death, you can take the time
to look around and take the best offer.

On-line page editors may offer a reasonable starting point, but
free off-line editors may be better.
Script hosts, such as Bravenet, also offer a good starting point for
Email forms, Guest books, etc. As the pop-ups, adverts and cookies
from such sites can put visitors off, it is best to plan to be able to host
your own scripts at some time.


There's nowt wrong with free, some of the best software is free or
shareware. You have to watch out for spyware, but most free software
is genuinely free.
With a limited, "lite" or shareware version, at least you can see why
it is offered without charge.
