Default HELP pls :) Harrier CB-X Channel Fault

Hi all
Any chance one of you guys can work out what this fault is with my
Harrier CB X rig.
I only now have 8 channels regardless of what the channel display
indicates.
For example channels 10-13 are ok but 14-17 become 10-13 again. Odd?
Channels 25-28 become 1-3 then 40 and 29-33 become 1 & 10-13.
So far i can only get channels 1-3,10-13 & 40 confused!!
Ive had a root around inside and can see nothing loose or disconnected
Any ideas ?
Many thanks in advance
-Iain

Your channel selector where it enters the main board has broken track at the
pins. Solder some thin link wire from the pins directly to the PLL chip. It
will then work fine again. This is normally caused by the channel selector
front panel nut coming loose and continued movement of the whole selector
has broken the thin track on the main board...

Most probably a fault with the rotary channel switch, they are known to wear
after many years of constant twiddling.

Forgot to mention, may even be the odd dry or broken solder joint where the
pins from the rotary switch are soldered to the board.
