Wow you people still paying to use your CB radio, here in Australia we
havent had to have a lic for our CB Bands for years. We have 2 bands 27MHz and 477MHz. Although we have had licences from the beginning (1981), it was only recently decided to issue official callsigns for CB users. I said, you haven't needed a licence anyway, only to remain legal, but that it served no useful purpose other than as a tax for the government, which has now become unprofitable to collect/process, so has now been dropped.
