completed then maybe the lincense will br droped sometime in 2006 say Ofcom. What the trails have got to do with the license being droped I can't think but there you go the facts from the horses mouth ! |

I have been saying this for some time, it is in the CADS document they released August 2004. It must be remembered that "maybe" is the appropriate word. They do NOT commit themselves either way. They use the words: "it is hoped that it will be possible to deregulate" It is always possible, the real question is whether they will decide to. > What the trails have got to do with the license being droped I can't think It is planned that people wanting to listen to CADS broadcasts will use CB radios. I am sure that Ofcom will not be keen to tell these people that a license is not required for reception, just that a CB requires a licence. It is also possible that CADS listeners could also see the use of it to chat to each other... requiring a CB license. If the number of licences gets a boost, do you think that Ofcom will be as keen to drop the requirement and lose that income? Regards, Peter http://www.citizensband.radiouk.com/ |
