Hi. Now that the laws have changed is the situation that you don't need a
license at all for CB or is it that you still need one but no longer have to pay for it as it is on amateur radio? I can't find anything on the Ofcom website. Thanks |

It takes 5 working days for the lectronic process to speed through. So much for hi speed hi-tech. You should consider taking your FL. You will get your license free now and it costs £14-20 for the exam. |

I can't find anything on the Ofcom > website. There has been a whole thread or Two on the subject, with direct links to the information on the Ofcom site. At the risk of wasting bandwidth, here it is again... That's OK, Malk... no need to thank me, just pretend you didn't see this message. That way, you don't have to provide proof of your previous suggestion... > "Malkavian" <a4bedaser@ntlworld.com> wrote... > > > > Remember your moronic comments about amatuer radio > > equipment being inferior to CB? I suppose it's easier to stick your fingers in your ears than to be man enough to either provide proof or apologise for your mistake. Merry Christmas. Peter. |

Somewhat late in the day, big deal really, if they allowed SSB and AM plus all data modes then that would be something to talk about then again CB is long dead anyway what with 446mhz and mobiles etc et all, technology has killed it |
