Default Binatone Long Ranger 12 - Channels

Hi,
Long shot I'm sure...but when I was a little lad my Dad bought me a Binatone
Long Ranger 12.

Recently my Dad passed away and it brought back loads of memories...and
through one way and another I got a Binatone Long Ranger...I know it sounds
daft but hey....

Anyhoooo, it's pretty useless in this the new age of CB with pretty much
everyone using only on channel out of the 80 now available as the Binatone
is a 12 channel rig, 6 to 17....no 19!!!!

Is there a simple way to alter this?
Does anyone know this model?

I know the easy answer is throw it out and get a new, modern multi fangled
hand held, but hey its a challenge.

Thx

christ that's old.
i think it was a crystal jobby.

by the time you've paid for the new xtals, it might be cheaper to buy a
newer model off e-bay.

i must have the circuit here somewhere.

i'll look into it.

Thanks mike.
I've popped it open and there does appear to be at least 2 crystals,
although I couldn't be certain. From what I remember from others I've seen
they come in little sealed pots.
