The EGSM spectrum ARFCN (channels) 975 - 1023 is licensed to Vodafone and O2 with O2 operating in the top half. ARFCN 1019 is 889 MHz uplink (mobile to tower) paired with 934 MHz downlink (tower to mobile). Ref http://www.mpirical.com/companion/GSM/ARFCN.htm |

Expect a fixed penalty notice of £100 if you use 934Mhz CBs today. From the Cambridge dictionary. Definition outlaw Show phonetics noun [C] (especially in the past) a person who has broken the law and who lives separately from the other parts of society because they want to escape legal punishment: Robin Hood was an outlaw who lived in the forest and stole from the rich to give to the poor. Outlawed, Yee Haa, CBers are outlaws just like Josey Wales. |

Licence free, 8 ch, 446MHz PMR is the nearest we have to UHF CB, If you ignore the half watt power limit and aerial restrictions, it's a very practical band. Taxis, private hire, etc. have their own UHF frequencies Steve Terry |
