Default 80 Channel Rigs EU Frequencies

Does anyone in the UK use these EU frequencies? I've noticed its
muppet free around here so was wondering if there was any DX'ing to be
had, although I dont think ive got the watts to get to Europe LOL

I once got to a bloke sat on a boat in Poland on 10 Watts during the
last sun cycle so it's perfectly possible.

regularly worked into europe on a DNT contact 40, 4w into a 5/8 wave..

you'll know when the skips in, it's full of germans and polish..if you can
hear it, you can work it..

You'll get a lot of this in a few months when this years sporadic e
'season' starts from May to September. Quite fun to log in to the many
packet stations also on 27.235 Mhz plsu a few other freqs used for
data modes if you have the equipment

and an old idea.

rumour has it that the first packet radio bursts sent in ireland
were on 27mhz back in the mid 80's !!
